» Research In Motion (RIM) Acquires Torch Mobile. Bringing WebKit to BlackBerry?
From the Torch Mobile Blog:
“Our team of developers will join RIM’s global organization and will now be focused on utilizing our WebKit-based mobile browser expertise to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the BlackBerry® platform.”
Torch makes a WebKit browser called “Iris” for Windows Mobile that supports HTML5 amongst other things… All work on that product is supposedly ending and those developers will focus on bringing WebKit to BlackBerry devices. Big News. Maybe?
